Weekend of MLK activities in Dover

Dr. Martin Luther activities in Dover start Saturday and continue through Monday.

There is a parade through downtown Dover at 11am on Saturday.  There will be 5 marching bands as a part of the parade down Lockerman Street this year. Dover High School, Delaware Technical and Community College, Smyrna High School, Polytech High School and one band from Maryland will join in.  Dr. Harry Williams of Delaware State University will address the crowd at the end of the parade.

On Monday the there will be a noon event at the DSU Theater, Education and Humanities Building titled “Celebrate the Dream”.  The University is working with the Inner City Cultural League to put on the program.
