VOTE TODAY

Today is Election Day, so be sure to make time to vote. This morning reporters found long lines at polling places across the city and region, so leave yourself a bit of time. Some tips:
- Find your polling place here or here.
- Call 1-866-OUR_VOTE (1-866-687-8683), the nonpartisan Committee of Seventy‘s Election Protection Hotline, you have any questions or see something strange afoot at a polling place.
- Know your rights.
- Review this sample ballot.
- Philly has four ballot questions. The Committee of Seventy explains each (with an endorsement for one). For what it’s worth, Mayor Nutter backs all four (now).
- Polls are open until 8pm. If you are in line before 8pm, you may cast your vote. Do not leave without voting.
To follow along with local election coverage:
- Staff writers from the Inquirer and Daily News are out and about, tweeting from polling places today. Follow along on philly.com or using the hashtag #inkyvote.
- NewsWorks is also sharing stories from the polls.
