Any fires that spark today could quickly get out of control, forecasters warn.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Red Flag Warning” for the Jersey Shore due to a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels.

Winds are out of the northeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour, gusting up to 25 miles per hour, and relative humidity levels will drop down to as low as 20 percent, according to the weather bulletin.

The warning continues until 8 p.m. today.
