Two new superintendents for Archdiocese of Philadelphia

Effective today, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia has new superintendents for secondary and elementary education.

Dr. Carol A. Cary will oversee the diocese’s 17 high schools, and Jacqueline P. Coccia will run the 123 elementary schools.
Cary brings several years’ worth of administration experience to the role, including a stint as a prinicpal in Delaware County and most recently as the director of Secondary Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development for the Office of Catholic Education.

Coccia has been the OCE’s director of elementary education for the last two years. Both women have Pennsylvania certifications and administration degrees.
