Trending on Twitter: Verification questions will test your Philly and Jersey cred

Another day, another trending hashtag, this time it’s all about the Philadelphia region.
If you’ve perused Twitter in the past 24 hours, you’ve probably noticed a frenzy of poll questions calling out to Twitter communities in Philly and New Jersey. The topic: Do you belong there, and if so, can you prove it?

That’s what the tags #PhillyVerificationQuestions and #JerseyVerificationQuestions are doing. The trend started late Wednesday, with poll questions such as: How do you alert a SEPTA bus driver when your stop is coming up? What do you do when you pull into a Jersey gas station? How do you explain “jawn”? And what do you save your parking space with? (We couldn’t help but interject, so we posted a few.)

Equal parts hilarious, weird, and informative (seriously, how do you alert a SEPTA driver when your stop is coming up?), it’s everything we’ve come to love about our people.
