The Christmas songs you won’t hear on B-101

Arts reporter and reluctant Christmas song expert Peter Crimmins takes you on an audio stroll through some of his favorite tunes. What are some of your seasonal must-listens?

Before Peter Crimmins was the Arts and Culture reporter for WHYY, he worked for a production company in San Francisco that made syndicated radio content. The company did a lot of Christmas programming, and because of the long production schedules, Crimmins had to start listening to Christmas songs in September. So by Thanksgiving he was in insulin shock. Here, he shares some his favorites that rose to the top.

Frosty the Snowman, by The Ronettes, 1963

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, by Judy Garland, 1944

Merry Christmas Everybody, by Slade 1973
