The challenge of writing a brief history of Philadelphia has been taken up by Roger Simon, professor of history at Lehigh University.
Simon is author of “Philadelphia: A Brief History,” which is part of Temple University Press’s Pennsylvania History Series. He spoke with WHYY’s Dave Heller.
