Tattoo parlor to open in Mt. Airy

A tattoo parlor is coming to Germantown Avenue in Mt. Airy.

The city’s Zoning Board of Adjustment approved a pair of variances Wednesday that will enable Wyndmoor residents Eric and Lisa Flynn to open Kadillac Tattoo at 7102 Germantown Ave.

The couple received a letter of approval from West Mt. Airy Neighbors in early November. Rev. Aisha Brooks-Lytle, of Mt. Airy Presbyterian, which sits directly across the street from the first-floor location, also wrote a letter of support for the tattoo shop.

The business needed a variance to operate in a building that also contains a single family dwelling and that sits so close to a religious institution

The Flynns currently own another tattoo parlor, also called Kadillac Tattoo, in Northeast Philadelphia.
