Chris Huch had an unusual experience in the ocean off Long Beach Island on Tuesday.
“The ocean was a bit chilly today,” said Huch, a southern Ocean County resident.
That’s an understatement.
Huch surfed through slush and ice chunks– or “slurpee shorebreak” — which he says “made for a neat experience” in Harvey Cedars.
He has since thawed out to produce a GoPro video of his experience.
