Signs warn motorists of GPS failings

A Newark driver who somehow escaped injury when she followed her GPS too closely and found her car being dragged by a train just might be the next person to contribute to this: a movement by concerned motorists (and perhaps other misled drivers) to warn people about incorrect GPS directions.

Thanks to commenter “joseph,” who pointed out a lengthy Google Image search result of signs pretty much telling drivers, your GPS is wrong, so please don’t make that turn.

Some are homemade, some are a bit more official looking and others are lit with jumbo letters and blinking arrows. They all say the same (and are sometimes misspelled): We know what we’re talking about, so please put your GPS aside for a minute and avoid that lake up ahead.
