Seventy years ago this month, the worst civilian air disaster of World War II was sustained by Allied forces, and it’s the topic of the new book “The Freckleton, England Air Disaster: The B-24 Crash that Killed 38 Preschoolers and 23 Adults, August 23, 1944.”
