Police search for suspects in E. Mount Airy Rite Aid robbery

Philadelphia police are searching for the suspects involved in the armed robbery of an East Mount Airy pharmacy Sunday.

Police say shortly after 8 p.m. on July 10, three men stole $3,000 from a safe inside of a Rite-Aid on the 1300 block of East Washington Lane.

According to investigators, the trio also stole lottery tickets, cigarettes and cigars.

“If they’re brazen enough to do a robbery of a store like this, that has video, then they’re brazen enough to do anything,” Lieutenant George McClay said during a Tuesday news conference.
