Police probe Facebook link in deadly home invasion

Police are investigating whether a photo posted on Facebook triggered a home invasion which left a Philadelphia man dead.

Fifty-year-old Tony Harris last week uploaded a photo of his wife with a pile of cash. The caption said: “I misplaced $60,000. I hope my wife didn’t go shopping with it.”

Three men entered the couple’s home in the Kingsessing section on Monday night and demanded money.

Harris was shot and died at a hospital on Tuesday.

His nephew, Anthony Fleming, told the Philadelphia Inquirer the post was a joke and the pile of cash was made up of $1 bills with $20 bills on top.

Homicide Capt. James Clark says it’s possible the photo is connected to the case.

Police are looking for three suspects.
