Police: Ambush suspect Eric Frein used Internet while on run

Police say they found a laptop computer and two storage drives in the abandoned airplane hangar where Pennsylvania ambush suspect Eric Frein was captured last week.

Court documents released Tuesday say Frein told police he used the laptop and connected wirelessly to the Internet while evading authorities.

Frein surrendered to U.S. marshals on Thursday following a 48-day manhunt. He was located in an open field near the former Birchwood-Pocono Airpark.

Frein is charged with opening fire on the Blooming Grove state police barracks Sept. 12, killing one trooper and seriously wounding a second. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
