PGW to lower rates June 1

Just as DRPA tolls go up June 1, you’ll find a break someplace else: from PGW. Philadelphia Gas Works has announced it will lower its rates Wednesday.

Residential customers will see a nearly 2 percent discount, as the Philadelphia Business Journal reports, when prices drop 3 cents to $1.56 per 100 cubic feet.

A projected drop in the price PGW pays its gas suppliers is to thank for these savings.
