Penn State alum holds alternative event to maxed-out Erickson town hall

Registration filled up quickly for tonight’s town hall meeting in King of Prussia with Penn State University President Rodney Erickson, but nearby in the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge, a PSU alum will hold his own meeting.

NFL Hall of Fame running back Franco Harris will hold a three-hour meeting this evening, the Patriot-News reports, in reponse to frustrations over Erickson’s approach to the first town hall, held Wednesday in Pittsburgh.
Tonight’s meeting is the second of three Erickson will hold with alumni to discuss the child sexual abuse allegations against Jerry Sandusky, the resulting disciplinary actions at the university and how the school will move forward.
