Pea Patch swimmer tells of Delaware River skull discovery
What’s it like to find a skull in the river you’re swimming in?
Just ask Randy Garrison. He was in the Delaware River with his daughter Sunday off New Jersey’s Pea Patch Island when a human skull floated past them.
He told Today’s Sunbeam he first thought the skull was a crab pot buoy. The skull turned up in the river between Pennsville Township, N.J., and Delaware City, Del.
Delaware State Police now have the skull. The forensic tests could take months.
