Pa. AG tells staff her duties won’t change much under suspension
Pennsylvania’s attorney general is telling her staff that 98 percent of her job won’t be affected as the suspension of her law license takes effect while she fights criminal charges.
A spokesman says Attorney General Kathleen Kane met Wednesday with her staff to discuss the impact of the suspension that takes effect Thursday.
Spokesman Chuck Ardo says Kane’s name will still appear on court documents, but there are some legal papers she won’t be able to sign. He didn’t provide a list of the duties she can’t perform.
The state Supreme Court voted unanimously last month to put Kane’s license on temporary, indefinite suspension, and delayed it from taking effect for 30 days.
Ardo says Kane is still working on a letter to staff about the status of her duties.
