Nutter appoints Water Department commissioner

    Effective Feb. 2, Howard Neukrug is the new commissioner of the Philadelphia Water Department. Mayor Michael Nutter made the announcement today.

    The former Deputy Commissioner of Planning and Environmental Services for the PWD and founder of the the Office of Watersheds will be responsible for the city’s water, wastewater and stormwater services.
