Northeast man charged in Cobbs Creek murder

A Northeast man has been arrested and charged for a murder that took place Saturday in Southwest Philadelphia’s Cobbs Creek area.

Ramik Banks, of the 900-block of Carver Street, was one of two men arguing in the street around 1 a.m. when things got heated and the men began shooting. Robert Lewis, 53, was driving by when the violence erupted, and was struck in the head.

The bullet was traced to Banks’ gun, and the 22-year-old was arrested Sunday morning.
