N.J. man arrested in slaying of Marine outside bar

    A Camden man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a Marine who was slain while trying to break up a fight.

    Police say 31-year-old Darrell Crone turned himself in Wednesday morning.

    Authorities say he shot Timothy Loper Jr. early Sunday when the 27-year-old Marine was trying to break up a fight outside a bar.

    Crone is being held in jail and is expected to make a court appearance Thursday.
