New Jersey flags fly half-staff for Pitman Army ranger

New Jersey flags will fly at half-staff Friday for Army Ranger Alessandro “Sandrino” Plutino.

Plutino, of Pitman, died Monday in the Paktia province of Afghanistan, as reported by the Gloucester County Times. His body arrived at Dover Air Force Base Tuesday after he suffered fatal wounds Monday during an insurgent attack.

Gov. Chris Christie signed an executive order Wednesday for all flags on state buildings to fly at half-staff.
