New Castle County digs out from season’s first significant snowfall.

New Castle County is digging out from the first significant snowfall of the season.

In Wilmington, plowing and hauling of snow was expected to continue for much of the day.  City government offices were set for a 10 a.m. opening.  Gusty winds throughout the area are causing snow to drift back into the roadways.  Drivers are urged to use extreme caution if it’s necessary to travel.

Collection of recyclable materials in Wilmington east of I-95 is cancelled for Monday.
