U.S. agencies should use advanced technology to identify mysterious drones, Chuck Schumer says

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has called for the reauthorization of the authority, which is included in a spending bill that continued to be debated Thursday.

This week seems to have begun a new, higher-profile chapter, with lawmakers and Gov. Phil Murphy demanding answers.

Murphy and other officials say there is no evidence that the drones pose a national security or a public safety threat.
