Multiple injuries in another Wilmington shooting

Wilmington police are investigating a triple shooting on the East side of the City.

According to officials, at 7:37 p.m on Thursday, officers were called to the 800 block of Vandever Avenue due to multiple shots fired heard in the area. Once on the scene, police found three men suffering from gunshot wounds.

The names of the victims haven’t been released but investigators described two of men as being in their late twenties, suffering from gunshot wounds to their hip and buttocks areas.

The third victim, a 20-year-old male, was found a short distance away but on the 900 block of Vandever Avenue and had been hit by gunshots in his left arm and left leg areas.

All of the victims were transported to the Christiana Hospital Emergency Room and described as being in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting still remain unclear and are under investigation.
