This year Mt. Airy hosted its annual Street Fare: Sip, Savor and Stroll and brought over 15,000 visitors from all over the region to the neighborhood.

Despite budget cuts this year and an unsuccessful Indiegogo campaign, Mt.Airy USA managed to create an unforgettable night for all neighbors and visitors.

Over 50 of the region’s best food trucks and local restaurants lined up on Germantown Avenue, between Sedgwick and Mt. Airy avenues to offer a wide variety of gourmet foods and drinks to satisfy everyone’s appetite.

Live music was heard from two stages featuring local bands such as Sheep, Hennessy Bonfire and School of Rock.

Mt. Airy resident Tarrance Toomer, who came to enjoy the night with his friends said the event is a huge block party where he can see friends and neighbors he hasn’t seen in a while.

“Tonight everyone can just relax, eat food, have fun and enjoy each other’s company,” he said.
