Moving Delaware’s primary to August?

A plan that would move Delaware’s primary from September to August is up for discussion in Dover this afternoon.
The measure, HB 192, is sponsored by State Rep. Deborah Hudson, R-Fairthorne.  Hudson wants to move the primary up by a month so that Delawareans serving in the military can get their absentee ballots in time to be returned and counted in the general election.  The proposal will be discussed in the House Administration Committee today at 3 p.m.
