Mayor Nutter says he needs answers from housing chief
Carl Greene’s fate will be discussed by the Philadelphia Housing Authority Board.
The embattled head of the Philadelphia Housing Authority is facing pressure from all sides. Philadelphia’s Mayor wants answers to many questions about the agency and its head.
While on vacation, Mayor Michael Nutter heard about Philadelphia Housing Authority Head Carl Greene’s troubles. Nutter says he hopes the multiple allegations of sexual harassment against Greene are resolved soon.
“The kind of allegations that we are talking about, and they are allegations, but they are serious allegations, they must be addressed, the management of PHA the board of PHA must address these issues, hopefully they are conducting some level of investigation but there must be zero tolerance for that kind of alleged activity.”
The mayor says there seems to be something wrong at the agency. Nutter says he’s interested to hear what the authority board has to say on the matter.
The board is scheduled to meet Thursday August 26th to discuss Greene’s future.
