Man arrested in death of psychiatrist at Philadelphia hotel

Philadelphia police arrested and charged a homeless man in the death of a psychiatrist found in a hotel room with a belt wrapped around his neck.

The Philadelphia Police Department says in a statement Wednesday that 27-year-old Manuel Baez was arrested and charged in the murder of Howard Baker.

Officers were called to the Rodeway Inn just before noon Monday after the 75-year-old victim was found face-up on the floor in a fifth-floor room.

Police have said Baker had two male visitors at the downtown hotel late Sunday night, and that one was seen leaving hours later with his wallet.
