Philadelphia Police announced that a suspect has been arrested in connection with an August burglary at the Washington Lane Discount Store in West Oak Lane.

Kenneth Speller, 19, of the 3900 block of N. 17th St., was arrested on Saturday in connection with a burglary for which the police publicly released surveillance video. He faces burglary and related charges.

According to police, just after 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 20, Speller was allegedly one of two men who were “able to gain entry to the store through a broken security gate and window that was damaged from a prior auto accident.”

The other man allegedly stood outside as a lookout as Speller “went behind the counter taking numerous lottery tickets and passed them through the security gate,” according to police.
