Lawyer sentenced to jail for hunting death will appeal

The Montgomery County lawyer sentenced last month for the death of a Bucks County hunter has filed an appeal.

The notice was filed this week with the state Superior Court, but does not indicate what specifically Manilla is appealing.

Last month, Manilla was sentenced to 10 to 25 years in prison for the death of Barry Groh after Manilla shot him while hunting last November. Due to prior convictions, Manilla was prohibited from owning fire arms.
