Judge’s robe missing from Criminal Justice Center

An essential judicial accessory went missing yesterday at the Criminal Justice Center: Judge C. Walters Jr.’s robe.

The Municipal Court judge went into the men’s room only to return to the robing room and find his cloak missing. Courthouse staffers are keeping an eye out for the black robe, which went missing from an unlocked room.

Think a new one will be easy to come by? The Inquirer reports a robe could cost the judge between $200 and $300.
