High school students invited to submit videos about ‘what makes Northeast Philadelphia special’

What makes Northeast Philadelphia special?

Rising high school sophomore, juniors and seniors are invited to submit videos in line with that theme for a video contest held by Northeast Philadelphia Hall of Fame organizers.

High schoolers in the Northeast can submit three- to six-minute videos that meet the theme, “Uncovering Northeast Philly: What makes Northeast Philadelphia special?”

Entries should be in DVD format and must be postmarked or dropped off before June 30. All entries are to be mailed to

Holy Family University – Woodhaven 1311 Bristol Pike Bensalem, PA 19020 Attn: NE Hall of Fame

The grand prize is a $3,000 scholarship to Holy Family – pending acceptance and the number of team members –  and an iPad for each winner. Honorable mention winners will receive gift certificates to local businesses. Students may enter individually or in teams of two.

More information can be found on the Northeast Hall of Fame Facebook page.
