Frigid temps can’t keep Dewey Dunkers out of the water [photos]

Not even the 40 degree ocean water temperature dissauded more than 100 plungers from taking a New Year’s Day dunk at Dewey Beach.

The plungers braved the frigid weather conditions for the third annual “Dewey Dunk.” Sponsored by the Dewey Beach Business Partnership, participants welcomed 2015 with a “cleansing of the body” to start the year off right.

Beach bonfires warmed up spectators and dunkers, after the fact.
