2017 Collingswood July 4 fireworks schedule
The day’s festivities start with the annual bike parade at 10 a.m. Families and cyclists will deck out their rides — bikes, wagons, scooters, strollers – in patriotic splendor.
The parade route starts at the intersection of Zane and Haddon Aves. and will proceed down W. Zane to Park Ave. and then down Browning Rd. to Magill Ave. where it will continue into Knights Park.
Inside the park, Tatem Shields American Legion Post 17 will be serving up free ice cream, popsicles and flags.
Look for most of the town to be snazzed up in red, white and blue as part of the Proud Neighborsof Collingswood house decorating contest. Participants will include homes, businesses and even entire blocks.
Of course, the main attraction will be the evening fireworks show.
All the fun takes place at the Collingswood High School stadium (424 Collings Ave.). Inside, aneight-piece dance band, To The Max, will perform pop tunes starting at 8 p.m.
Fireworks will kick off around 9:15 p.m. with the band switching up the playlist to patriotic favesduring the display.
The fireworks are viewable in many locations in town, with Knight Park being a top spot to watchthe skies.
Be forewarned that there will be no vehicles permitted in the park on July 4. Parking will be availablein the Scottish Rite parking lot (315 White Horse Pk.), the LumberYard garage public lot (N. Atlantic Ave.), Transfiguration Church (445 N. White Horse Pk.) and the county parking lot on N. Newton Lake Dr.
