Temple tuition rates to rise almost 10 percent

    After having about $36 million in operating costs cut from the budget, Temple University will raise tuition more than $1,100 next year.

    According to Temple’s website, the current tuition rate of $11,834 will change to $13,006 this fall–a nearly 10 percent increase. To help dependent students with the tuition hike, Temple also announced it will increase financial aid by $6.8 million, bringing the total financial aid sum to $81.8 million.
