CELEBRATE: Asian Arts Initiative 20th Anniversary Exhibit
Friday, February 7, 6-8pm. Asian Arts Initiative, 1219 Vine Street. Explore what it means to be Asian American in Philly through this interactive art exhibit and celebrate two decades of the Asian Arts Initiative. Come to the opening reception during First Friday. The exhibit runs until May 23, 2014.

Saturday, February 8, 11am-5pm. First African Presbyterian Church, 4159 West Girard Ave. Photojournalist John W. Mosley documented daily life in Philadelphia’s African American neighborhoods for four decades. Temple University and the First African Presbyterian Church present this look at his work. $10 at the door. Inclement weather date: February 15.
ENGAGE: Art in Action: National Leaders in Art as Social Practice at PAFA
Saturday, February 8, 3-6 p.m. Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 118 N. Broad Street. Join from four leaders of “art in action” across the country for “TED-style” talks. Hear from Jane Golden (Mural Arts), Mark Allen (Machine Project, Los Angeles, Rick Lowe (Project Row Houses, Houston), and Nato Thompson (Creative Time, New York City). $20, $10 for members.
CREATE: 14th Annual Print Love-In
Sunday, February 9, 10am-7pm. Fleisher Art Memorial, Works on Paper building, 705 Christian Street. Celebrate love, Fleisher style: make prints all day long. Sessions from 10am-noon and 1-3pm are for families with kids 5 and older, while a session from 5-7pm is for adults and will include adult refreshments. Register online.
