Examining some myths of Actual Value Initiative

    Philadelphia’s impending city-wide reassessment of property values has a lot of people confused. Axis Philly‘s Isaiah Thompson looked at a few of the more pervasive myths, among them: AVI is a tax or a tax hike, it is meant to raise additional funds for the school district, and the initiative might not pass city council.
