Dog of the Week: Rocky

My Name is Rocky, and I am looking for my Bullwinkle! Or my Adrian! Or Magil?

And since I am just a dog looking for a home, your name can be just about anything! My

family named me Rocky They taught me to “sit” and to give my “paw” and they also taught me not to go to the bathroom in the house. But then they had to move and didn’t take me with them so I am living at the shelter with the other homeless dogs hoping someone meets me and takes me home for forever. I am some sort of hound and terrier combo; you can see it in my face and ears!

I like to play, but sometimes I show my age (I am still pretty young) and I play too rough

for some dogs. But I am learning how to contain myself! Right now I have a cold – I don’t feel so good – and being sick at the shelter is not so fun! Once I am in a home I know I will get better fast!

These animals are located at Philadelphia’s animal control shelter, ACCT. They need immediate adoption or foster care. ACCT is located at 111 W Hunting Park Ave and is open 365 days a year. Adoption hours are Monday-Friday; 1pm-8pm; Saturday and Sunday; 10am-5pm. To check the status of an animal, call 267-385-3800. Petsmart Haldeman – DOG & CAT ADOPTIONS: Saturday, October 22. The event will run from 11:00 to 2:00 at the Petsmart in Haldeman Plaza (11000 Roosevelt Blvd.).

The ACCT Adoption Center is open: Monday through Friday 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
