Do you have a special New Year’s Eve cocktail?

Philadelphia is a beer drinker’s town, but sometimes you want to celebrate special occasions with a festive cocktail. What will you be drinking when you ring in the new year?

Philadelphia is a beer drinker’s town. Anyone who asks for a wine list at a bar is probably not from around these parts. But this city is not without its houses of spirits.

Good thing, too, because on some occasions — like New Year’s Eve — you want to celebrate with a festive cocktail instead of a frosty brew.

What is your favorite New Year’s Evecocktail? Tell us in the comments below.

Do you stick to the tap list on NYE? Are you keeping it simple this year with an understated prosecco? Or will you be teetotaling tonight with a mug of warm milk?

For the seasoned local or the trained explorer, there are mixologists to be found in most every neighborhood — from Franklin Mortgage in Rittenhouse to Southwark in Queen Village to Emmanuelle in Northern Liberties. We found a lovely mojito at Cuba Libre in Old City.

Tell us how you celebrate. When the clock strikes 12 tonight, and you raise your glass to toast the year gone by, what will be in your mug, pint, high ball, snifter or flute?
