Delaware man arrested for exposing himself
Newark and University of Delaware Police say a 39-year-old Avondale, PA man has exposed himself to almost two dozen unsuspecting women for years.
Officers arrested Jason Grubbs Saturday night, after two women called Newark Police. The two victims noticed Grubbs wearing only a shirt and slapping his buttocks near the intersection of Beverly and Sunset Roads. Following a brief foot chase, officers apprehended Grubbs, who they linked to at least 16 similar incidents stemming from June 2011.
The serial stripper faces 18 criminal charges stemming from nine incidents in Newark, plus 16 additional charges stemming from seven incidents on UD’s campus. Grubbs was released from custody after posting bond.
An investigation into whether Grubbs is connected to additional incidents of indecent exposure is underway. Anyone with additional information about these incidents should contact Det. James Skinner of NPD at 302-366-7110 ext. 135 or james.skinner@cj.state.de.us or Det. Jay Protz of UDPDat (302) 831-4136 or jprotz@udel.edu.
