Delaware Amber Alert canceled
Delaware State Police canceled an Amber Alert issued Tuesday, saying no one has come forward to file a missing persons report in New Castle County or any neighboring jurisdictions.
Witnesses told police they saw a young girl being pulled into a white SUV, Tuesday night, in the community of Whispering Pines near Newark. The driver was described as a man about 30 years old, but police have no other description of the victim or suspect.
New Castle County Police Corporal Jacob Andrews says without any breaks in the case, there is a strong possibility witnesses may have misinterpreted the situtation, however, the investigation remains robust.
