City warns Occupy: Dilworth Plaza construction imminient

The city has officially posted notice that the Dilworth Plaza construction project will begin imminently. Daniel J. Keating Company was announced as project contractor by the Center City District today. The notice states: “Be advised that the Permit for Demonstration on City Property issued by the City of Philadelphia effective 10/6/11 expires at the start of the Dilworth Plaza construction project. This project’s commencement is imminent. Accordingly, you should take this opportunity to vacate Dilworth Plaza and remove all of your personal belongings immediately.” Read the full press release [via Citypaper].
