Chew and Belfield Neighbors host ‘Holiday Chat and Chew’ event on Wednesday

The “Holiday Chat and Chew” event being hosted by the Chew and Belfield Neighbors Club Inc. from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday is more than a seasonal gathering.

CNBC founder and president Rev. Chester Williams, founder said it will also focus on recruiting group members and committeemembers for the City’s Registered Community Organizations.

The RCO encourages community involvement in future development in their neighborhoods. It ensures that developers “have to acknowledge organizations when they come in the community,” said Williams, who was appointed to the group earlier this year.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish that will be able to feed 10 to 15 people at the potluck-style holiday dinner which will be held at the Joseph E. Coleman Northwest Regional Library, 68 W. Chelten Ave.
