5000 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said someone took her iPhone from her desk and fled the room. The offender was later identified and arrested.
Chew Ave. / Wister St. – complainant said a man snatched her iPod Touch while she was riding on the bus and exited afterward.
100 block E. Mermaid Lane – laptop stolen from a car between 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 16.
8200 block Germantown Ave. – two men robbed the Post Office sometime after 2 p.m. and then fled in a white sedan. Offenders ran off with $600.
March 17, 2011
5500 block Ardleigh St. – a woman was shot in the leg while outside of the location. Complainant said she was having an argument at the time and heard five shots from the corner. Complainant was taken to the hospital.
5800 block Brush Road – three big screen TVs, two diamond bracelets, laptop, Xbox, PS3 and a camera stolen from the property. Complainant said she came home around 7:10 p.m. to find her house ransacked and the items missing. There is no alarm system.
Chew Ave. / E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said that an unknown group of offenders from Germantown High School ran up to her, knocked her down and kicked her repeatedly. Complainant was taken to the hospital.
6100 block McCallum St. – various medications, iPod Nano and nine DVDs from the property.
7700 block Stenton Ave. – two watches, a safe containing $8,000 and an iPAD stolen from the property between 10-11 a.m. March 16. Complainant said someone smashed the glass of his bedroom window and took the items. Complainant lives on the ground level of the building.
Germantown Ave. / E. Abington Ave. – complainant said a man punched him after following him and a witness for a block. The witness ran off after the offender attacked the complainant.
March 18, 2011
5500 block Ardleigh St. – complainant said someone shot him with a handgun.
Unit block E. Tulpehocken St. – copper pipe stolen from the property between 11 a.m. March 13 and 9:50 a.m. March 18. The property is vacant with no burglary alarm.
300 block Shedaker St. – drill and wooden dresser stolen from the property. Complainant said she came home around 5:10 p.m. March 18 and found the items missing.
200 block E. Sharpnack St. – complainant said she blacked out after drinking too much alcohol. When she woke up, the offender was on top of her.
5600 block Germantown Ave. – briefcase, passport, birth certificate and other paperwork stolen from a 2004 Range Rover. Complainant said he may have left the trunk open.
100 block W. School House Lane – Macbook stolen from the property. Complaiant said the alarm was not activated at the time of the incident.
March 19, 2011
Ogontz Ave. / 74th Ave. – complainant said six men approached him and stole his laptop. Five of the six offenders were identified. Complainant was taken to the Northwest Detectives Division.
Unit block Valley Green Road – wallet containing IDs, credit cards, an iPhone and a laptop computer were stolen from a 2005 Volkswagen Passat.
March 20, 2011
5800 block Crittenden St. – 1995 Cadillac El Dorado stolen between 11 p.m. March 18 and 1 a.m. March 20.
500 block Mayland St. – complainant said two offenders wearing masks shot at him after he answered the door. This after an unknown woman knocked on the door. Complainant was taken to the hospital after being wounded in his left thumb.
Chelten Ave. / Knox St. – a witness told police he saw two men inside the newsstand taking several items. The witness said the two men do not work at the stand and that the owner was not present during the incident. The offenders ran off with 67 CDs, DVDs and clothing. Police later tracked down one of the offenders and made an arrest.
Ardleigh St. / E. Mt.Airy Ave. – complainant said two men followed him while walking at the location, stuck a gun in his back and robbed him. Offenders ran off with two Xbox games, $50, a transpass and debit card.
March 21, 2011
2100 block Eastburn Ave. – handbag, credit cards, medicine and gold jewelry stolen from a 1995 Toyota. Complainant said her nephew witnessed a neighbor take the items.
1900 block Plymouth St. – jewelry was stolen from the property. Complainant said the items were taken from a bedroom.
6200 block Wissahickon Ave. – complainant said someone stole his bike from his home between 12:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. March 21.
March 22, 2011
1300 block E. Haines St. – complainant said a man shot at him nine times from a car after asking him if he liked “jumping people”. Complainant fled into the park.
6300 block Crittenden St. – two men attacked and robbed a teenager. Complainant said one of the offenders punched him about ten times. Both offenders fled with an iPhone.
Lena St. / E. Price St. – complainant said three men attacked him with an unknown object for an unknown reason.
E. Penn St. / Magnolia St. – 2000 Chevy Impala was stolen. Complainant said he parked the car at the location to get repaired.
E. Penn St. / Belfield Ave. – complainant said three club employees punched him outside of the club they told him to leave and he told them his friends were inside. Complainant went to the hospital for a series of injuries including a broken front tooth.
7800 block Winston Road – police observed a man open the front driver’s side door of a 2011 BMW X5 and enter it for several seconds. The offender was later arrested with a stolen iPhone.
7700 block Germantown Ave. – purse containing an oral inhaler, pair of earrings, tennis bracelet and various IDs stolen from a 2008 Jeep Liberty.
Unit block E. Springfield Ave. – black bag, iPod Nano and swimming equipment stolen from a 2005 Acura SUV between 7:45 and 8:15 p.m. March 22. A man was later stopped with the items in his possession and was arrested.
Unit block E. Willow Grove Ave. – light meter, pocket wizard, camera and four lenses stolen from a car.
