Former Doobie Brothers singer to headline Camden’s July 4th celebration
Michael McDonald, a former lead singer for The Doobie Brothers, will headline the 2016 Camden Waterfront Freedom Festival this July 4 as part of the city’s Independence Day festivities.
The five-time Grammy winner’s performance at Wiggins Park will be followed by a fireworks show over the Delaware River.
A musical salute to America and its armed forces veterans by the Tri-County Symphonic Band kicks things off at 5 p.m. The music continues with South Jersey-native, Ginger Coyle and the Peace Freqs.

The festival also features a South Jersey beer and wine garden with libations from Flying Fish Brewery, Sharrott Winery and Cooper River Distillers.
For the kiddos, there will be jugglers, balloon artists, face painters, games and other activities.
Admission is free.
