Businessman arrested at Philly airport on child porn charges
An executive with a German construction company has been arrested after investigators say they found child pornography on his laptop computer during a security stop at Philadelphia International Airport.
Ivan Teobaldo Zubiaga was charged Saturday with 25 counts of child pornography possession and remains jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Online court records didn’t list information on his lawyer. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 25.
Investigators say the 50-year-old Zubiaga told them he’s been downloading and watching child pornography for about 10 years.
Zubiaga is an executive vice president at the Charlotte, North Carolina office of the pipeline construction and technology firm Raedlinger Primus Line.
Investigators say he was traveling through Philadelphia from Munich, Germany to his home in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
Raedlinger didn’t immediately respond to messages.
