Burlington Festival of Lights returns to the Delaware River, Aug. 8

The Delaware River will be aglow with light this Saturday as the Festival of Lights returns to Burlington, NJ. 

It’s the 22nd year for the decorated boat parade and fireworks display.
 
Festivities begin at 3 p.m. along the waterfront with 15 food vendors, face painting and inflatables for the kids and a concert by classic rock cover band, The Privileged Few, at the Riverfront Promenade Park bandstand.  
 
The boat parade will commence at 8:15 p.m. from Curtins’ Wharf restaurant and proceed to the Burlington-Bristol Bridge, making two passes in front of spectators watching from the Promenade before returning to its starting point.
 
Boaters will compete for up to $600 in prizes for best theme and best decoration.
 
A pyrotechnics display set off from Burlington Island by Garden State Fireworks will cap off the evening.
 
Admission and parking are free.
 
Saturday, Aug. 8, 3:30-10:30 p.m. – Riverfront Promenade Park, Burlington, NJ.
