Brandywine Zoo introduces new tiger to the public

The Brandywine Zoo’s new tiger Zhanna will be introduced to the public this afternoon.

The three-year-old Siberian tiger arrived at the Wilmington zoo in late June after being moved from the St. Louis Zoo.  Since then, she’s been in quarantine at the zoo so she could get accustomed to a new environment and bond with her new keepers.  An ‘apprehensive’ Lt. Governor Matt Denn will be on hand for the ceremony.  Denn posted on his Facebook page that Zhanna “is described by zoo staff as ‘moody.’ I saw Goodfellas, I know how this ends.”
