Boys to Bosses fundraiser offer networking opportunities, entertainment tonight

The Boys to Bosses Summer Camp will host a fundraising drive from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday.

In the face of high unemployment, Boys to Bosses was created to give 50 young black males insight into product development and business ownership. It aims to teach business skills like sales and marketing, public speaking and money management as well as life skills like dressing and grooming, fine dining and self defense.

There will be an art auction and retail vending market at the fundraiser, which is being held at the Black Eye Soup Studio, 6139 Germantown Ave.

Proceeds will help decrease the camp’s cost for single-parent families interested in putting their sons between the ages of 10 to 19 in the program.
